Hey All you blogets...err, blog readers. today was a more relaxing VBS day at the beach. We had 9 kids from around the area and they were definately doted with 30 leaders around them. The VBS was a bit tricky since we had no sound and video projection, however we did okay with a boombox and poster boards for words. As usual, the Bayou Crew did fantastic with the songs and skits, keeping everyone entertained. The beach overall gave it a different perspective which was more relaxing and laid back.
Okay...done for now. Dinner for tonight Spaghetti! "I Love Spaghetti!" (Thanks Alisa!) Thanks for your prayers!

mike bunker's fun time
so this trip so far has been a pretty fun time. we have finished the vbs fir the children in tofino today. it was fun today becasue it was on the beach so we did not have to watch the kids to hard. i have been one of the dancers in stage. it was pretty fun, kinda embarressing. this trip has been a good spiritual experience so far. the devotionals we have been doing have really helped in that department. tofino is beautiful. the weather, the people and the ocean. it is day five. and they say that day five s thehardest day because u get exhausted spiritually and physically.

Once upon a time there were 19 beautiful young princesses and 4 princesses that we will call a little more ‘seasoned’. Protected by the 7 valiant knights in shining armor, the princesses never had to lift a pinky. Surrounded by the majestic forest and the happy Tofinoites, they lived in a little cramped, yet still enchanted cottage. Living out their hearts desire, the warriors bathed in their manhood in a magic tree house.
Several days passed from their arrival and as the calendar flipped to July 3, 2009, here is how this fairytale unfolds. Although beauty sleep was put on the backburner for the Holy Spirit, we trekked on through with the strength of Christ to live out the greater purpose. Coming to the end of themselves, it was the ultimate realization that it was Jesus doing his work through these weary but content princesses. Being the valiant knights that these men are, they stepped forward to be God’s hands. As stone by stone was laid, they crafted a wall of protection for the Boy’s family.
When the clock struck one, many beautiful and strong children entered the great hall we all know and love as Crocodile Dock. Welcome to the bayou. Gifted by our Creator, each princess and knight reflected God’s character for the love of His little children. The ten plagues were an eye opener to His children that ‘God is powerful’. God used the two most ‘seasoned’ princesses to serve the royal stomachs of their magnificent family. Never seizing to fail us, they provided a cornucopia of satisfying victuals. Fulfilled with nutrition and in our Lord, they venture out in their two glorious white carriages. On a quest to be mutually encouraged, beneath the shimmering stars they travel to an unfamiliar palace with the fellow Tofinoites. Stay tuned in for part two of the Expedition for Christ, but don’t worry. They are confident in the hope that they lived happily ever after due to the grace of our God.

From Sara Paul...
On the 2nd, Andrea and I had a great opportunity to reach out to the people of Tofino that we have already talked to, but rejected us. I was setting up for day camp and 3 guys asked me...again...why we were here. The men were pagans and were quick to challenge me with my faith. Andrea and I were put into a challenging, confusing, and akward conversation. But once again we left the guys thinking. Without God, we wouldnt have been able to effectively respond.

From the cabin of Josh Vincent...
So we made it Tofino safely!!!!HEYO! So far there have been so many good times spent. Bunker and I have found some real good time to bond and through out the last 5 days through the team building retreat and the last 2 days here in Tofino we have had great times. Even with the fun there is also much learning being done. On Monday at the packing party me and abby really saw god work. So let me layout the story for you...Dutch and I were looking at the half filled trailer and looking at the humongous load of baggage and all the sound equipment and began saying to ourselves this will not fit. So me and abby finally decided to sit down quiet are hearts and desires and prayed that gods will be done. It was about 9 o’clock and were putting the final bag away in the trailer which fit together perfect. And it was really rad to see the work god does when you give your desires to god and let his will be done… love you Mom, Aaron, and Alisa.

Hey All
Well, we made it here safely! It was a fun and beautiful drive up from Federal Way to the Canadian coast. And we made good time too! Tofino weather has been beautiful thus far, high 70s, but sunny with a nice breeze. Canada Day was a nice day of relaxing and touring of the city. We setup mid morning for the celebrations at the park in town. Shortly after though, since we have a large group that does a lot of work in good time, we spent the afternoon exploring the town since most of us have not been here. The response from the students are positive about Tofino…they love it here! Some of them even got to spread the Word since we were all wearing the “Fiat Voluntus Tua” shirts, which made us easily recognizable. The response seemed to range from gratefulness to astonishment of why we were here helping set up Canada Day. For dinner we were treated to a nice Salmon bake from the shop that was setup at the park. Yummy! (to next day)
Things are rolling along here. Im back atthe internet cafe blogging and checking out work stuff. Elizabeth and Rachel are across the table from me doing homework online...ahh, the modern era.
Anyhow, the first day of the VBS went smooth...just as if we were in day camp a week ago. We had 20 kids show up, mostly younger ones. They warmer up pretty good to it and everone enjoyed it! We are preparing now for a bigger showing today. Anyhow, here are a few other blogs from Josh Vincent and Sara Paul. Oh yeah, Ill post a video of Sami's birthday party on facebook and here if I can. Thanks for all your prayers!

Arrived Safely!!
What a great trip! We arrived without a glitch...and in record time. Everyone seemed to have a great time on the ferry ride (it was very windy and that made for some fun times on the deck). our hosts homes are perfect. The women are staying at the Boy's (yes, that is the families name) anf the men are at the Laws (staying in a little cabin in the bakcyard...it's a little boys dream...and some big boys are having the time of their lives as well).
One problem we are going to have is telephone service. The cell coverage is sketchy at best; so, we will do most of our communicating via this blog. Check it often and make comments o we can respond to your questions.
Pray for our health...there are some who are sick (Emerson and now Sami). The team has been told to not share any food items or drinks and we are hoping we can keep it from spreading. Please pray!
